FAQ
Fair questions, straight answers
Everything kitchen owners ask us before they start.
Getting started
How long does setup take?
Most kitchens are live in under an hour: add a few meals, create one plan, set a delivery zone, share your storefront link. The onboarding wizard walks you through it, and anything you skip lands on a dashboard checklist.
Do I need to be technical?
No. If you can use WhatsApp, you can use Sahtein. There is nothing to install; it runs in the browser on your phone, tablet or laptop.
Can I import my existing subscribers?
Yes. Upload a simple spreadsheet (name, phone, plan) and we create the subscriptions for you. Our team helps with the first import on every plan.
Can I use my own domain for my storefront?
Yes. On plans that include it, connect your own domain to your storefront. Every plan comes with a ready sahtein link either way.
Pricing & billing
Is the trial really free?
Yes. 14 days with every Growth feature, and no credit card. At the end you pick a plan; if you need more time, just ask.
Do you charge per order or take commission?
The software itself is flat-rate: whether you sell 10 subscriptions or 1,000, the plan price is the price. If you enable online card payments, a commission applies to those card payments only, based on your country and plan. Cash and CliQ collections are always commission-free.
Can I pay in local currency?
Plans are billed in USD by card. Your storefront sells in your local currency: JOD, SAR, AED, KWD and more.
Can I offer discounts or promo codes?
Yes. Create promo codes with your own rules and share them with your customers; the discount applies right at your storefront checkout.
Payments & delivery
How do my customers pay me?
Cash on delivery works out of the box. On plans that include online payments your customers can also pay by card. Card payments are collected for you and paid out to your account, while cash stays in your hands from day one.
Does Sahtein provide drivers?
No. You use your own drivers or a local courier. Sahtein groups each day's deliveries by zone, lets you assign a driver to each one, and prints the labels, so whoever drives knows what goes where.
What are cut-off times?
A deadline you set (e.g. 9 PM) after which the next day's orders are frozen. Cook lists and routes are generated from the frozen set, so the kitchen never chases moving targets.
Can subscribers manage their own subscription?
Yes. From your storefront they can pause, skip deliveries, swap meals and add extras within the rules you set, with no phone call.
Localization & Arabic
Is Arabic fully supported?
Yes. The dashboard, your storefront and printed labels all work in Arabic with proper right-to-left layout. You can run Arabic-first, English-first, or both side by side.
Can meals have names in both languages?
Every meal, plan and zone has bilingual fields. Customers see the storefront in the language they choose; your kitchen sees whichever you prefer.
Security & data
Who owns my customer data?
You do, entirely. Export your subscribers, orders and menu anytime. If you leave, we delete your data on request.
How are allergies handled safely?
Allergies are captured at signup, attached to the subscriber, and surfaced everywhere downstream: cook lists and labels. They cannot be silently dropped.
Is my kitchen's data isolated?
Each kitchen is a separate tenant with its own encrypted data. Your menu, prices and subscriber list are never visible to other kitchens.
Can my team have their own logins?
Yes. Invite team members to your kitchen with their own accounts and roles, so everyone works from the same live picture without sharing one password.
